Pixel art is a thing, perhaps it is my thing, I don’t know yet. Using MS Paint, for I am a noob, I’m working to create a new logo for a feature in a lovely lil magazine/blog called Exposure.
It’s an idea I’ve had for a little while but haven’t had the guts/time to work on it, better late than never. I don’t even expect them to use it, I just wanna see how I can get it to look and it can be used if they want it.
The feature is Top Tens, chosen by all members of the society. When brainstorming hashtags to use to publish them, #DecaYSC came up, I liked it and this lil image popped into mat y head, based on the numerous D&D logos that use the d20 as a base shape to build upon:9
It looks very simple. I have absolutely no idea 1) how to shade (at all/with pixels) 2) how much shading is too much (at all/with pixels), so I’m probably going to be revisting this design for a little while before it’s ready. Turns out it’s actually quite relaxing though, all 3 hours that I’ve already spent on it O: (It doesn’t look like 3 hours work! Damn pixels.)
